About The Product
Buy with Confidence, the Roppe Ribbed Round Nose Stair Tread Dolphin 48 Inch features a 12.25 inch width and ribbed finish for dependable stair protection. This stair tread stands out for its substantial size-48 inches in length and a full 12.25 inches wide-providing solid coverage on wider commercial or institutional steps. Made from durable rubber, it holds up to busy foot traffic and helps maintain a secure walking surface year after year. The ribbed profile does more than add texture; it channels away dirt and moisture, improving slip resistance and grip with every step.
The round nose edge cleanly hugs the curve of the stair, offering a tidy, professional fit that also extends protection over the stair's front edge. In Dolphin, the color works as a versatile neutral, effective in hiding everyday scuffs and dust, which is useful in environments where floors see regular use. It balances well between blending in and still looking deliberate when installed across large stairwells or corridors.
Adhering the tread is straightforward when you use adhesives recommended by the manufacturer (to be sourced separately-always confirm the best match for your subfloor). The 48-inch length makes it suitable for most standard stairs, while its material can be trimmed on-site for projects that call for narrower treads. Each unit comes squared at the ends, so installers can expect clean alignment and minimal need for edge finishing, saving time during application.
Proudly made in the USA, this Roppe ribbed stair tread carries a 5-year warranty that speaks to consistent quality management and support. Maintenance, even in high-traffic facilities or public buildings, is uncomplicated-routine sweeping or mopping is generally all it takes, and the ribbed surface is resistant to visible wear.
This tread suits a wide variety of interior settings-schools, healthcare facilities, commercial offices, or any place where durable, attractive stair coverage is a priority. When matching with other finishes in the Roppe line, both the Dolphin shade and ribbed surface coordinate well for a uniform appearance throughout staircases or across multiple floors. For facility managers, contractors, or designers handling new installations or replacements, this stair tread checks the boxes for practicality and reliability. It's rubber throughout, built to last, and offers peace of mind with both everyday safety and long-term warranty coverage.
