Roppe Light Duty Smooth Black Brown Stair Tread- 60 Inch

Guaranteed Savings is available on the Roppe Light Duty Smooth Black Brown Stair Tread, a 60 inch rubber step cover with a smooth finish and 12.38 inch width. If you're searching for straightforward protection with a streamlined look, this tread steps up with just enough coverage for most residential and light commercial settings. The black brown tone is subtle and practical - blends right into interiors that don't call for standout contrast, so the space keeps its clean lines without the floor drawing attention. At 60 inches long and 12.38 inches wide, there's plenty of surface area for standard stairs, and since these treads come in both square and round profile edges, you can pick the look - and the level of safety - that fits best.

Roppe designed this tread for lighter foot traffic but didn't skimp on durability. You're looking at a rubber construction, which is easy to keep clean and shrugs off normal wear in homes, office mezzanines, or spots like break rooms and waiting areas. The smooth finish across the tread won't hold onto dirt the way a heavily textured option would, simplifying maintenance and keeping things looking orderly for longer. All of it is made in the USA, which will matter to facilities managers who care about sourcing or need to meet regulatory requirements.

The profile options - square or round edge - let you match existing stairs or install with a particular type of underlayment or adhesive. There's no adhesive included, so selecting the right one for the substrate (existing wood, concrete, or old vinyl risers) is up to you. Installers have flexibility to pick options that fit traffic and maintenance schedules. Rubber as a material also means it absorbs some foot impact and helps with noise reduction, even if it's not as silent as full carpeting. The color here is officially black brown; under most lighting, it reads closer to a deep espresso than true black, which is often preferred in schools, clinics, and retail environments aiming for a welcoming but understated look.

With a five-year warranty, the Light Duty Smooth model covers the expected wear and tear for its intended use - no surprise, as Roppe is one of the more established names in commercial flooring. And since it comes in a single size and finish option per SKU, you're not fussing with a dozen variations or waiting on special orders. If you want a link back to additional stair tread options or installation specifics, they're organized at this resource, which is worth bookmarking for future projects or reorders.

Price is competitive compared to many composite or thermoplastic alternatives, and you're getting a straightforward warranty along with U.S.-based manufacturing. If your priority is covering standard steps with a dependable tread - not a designer centerpiece, just something that holds up under the day-to-day - this model deserves a spot on your shortlist.
