About The Product
Fast Shipping on the Gray Tarkett Johnsonite Cape May Color Splash Stair Tread, a 48 inch rubber stair tread designed for durability. This model brings together reliability, safety, and a clean, modern look-key priorities in commercial and institutional environments. If you need a stair tread that offers visible security with a functional, low-maintenance profile, this option covers the essentials without compromise. Made in the United States and backed by a 5-year warranty, it's engineered to handle years of foot traffic and still look consistent from installation onward.
This Color Splash Raised Round Stair Tread features a square profile and measures a full 48 inches in length by 12.25 inches in width, providing comprehensive coverage for most standard stairs. The raised round finish isn't just for appearance-it adds traction underfoot to help reduce slips, which can be a real priority when retrofitting schools, healthcare settings, or anywhere code compliance matters. The tactile surface is comfortable underfoot without feeling abrasive or difficult to clean, something anyone maintaining a larger space will appreciate over the long run.
Rubber construction means this tread stands up to scrapes, scuffs, and spills better than cheaper plastic or composite alternatives. It absorbs sound compared to harder materials, making it a thoughtful choice for multi-story buildings where minimizing noise transfer matters-a detail designers often value but not every product delivers at this level. The gray color is neutral and coordinates well with existing carpet, painted risers, or minimalist decors. You get durability without an industrial afterthought of a finish, and the simple color tones down visual distraction in high-volume spaces.
Installers will appreciate the straightforward, square edge profile. Compatible adhesives (not included) allow for a secure, flush mount that won't ghost under foot traffic or curl at the edges over time, which is often the weak point for many standard stair treads. There's nothing fussy or delicate about the construction-it's built to be walked on, cleaned often, and hold up under demanding conditions. With the warranty coverage and straightforward replacement process, this tread fits well in any forward-thinking facilities budget.
