About The Product
Nationwide Top Dealer. Tarkett Johnsonite Echo Lake Color Splash Stair Tread Hammered 72 inch addresses the practical requirements of both safety and appearance for commercial and institutional settings. At 72 inches in length, this stair tread covers full runs without piecing, which is ideal for both renovations and new projects. Its 12.25-inch width suits nearly all standard stair dimensions, while the straightforward square profile keeps the transition from tread to riser clean and modern.
The hammered surface isn't just visual-it's selected for improved grip underfoot, an important feature for stairways with considerable daily traffic. The Echo Lake blue color stands out from conventional options, providing clear visual attention to each step while still fitting into a wide range of flooring palettes. Constructed entirely of rubber, these treads hold up under constant use; they help reduce sound from foot traffic, contributing to a quieter overall environment. The rubber also offers flexibility and long-term durability, helping avoid cracking or brittleness found in harder materials.
Installation is straightforward since the tread is compatible with many established rubber adhesives, which means fewer surprises during fit-out, whether you're working with new or existing staircases. The hammered texture is continuous from the tread surface across the stair nose, offering the same slip-resistant benefit at the front edge-often the most heavily worn point. Tarkett covers the tread with a five-year warranty, and every piece is made in the United States with manufacturing processes that reflect established industry standards. Options for additional matching risers or alternative color selections are available at time of order. See more details and compatible accessories here.
To sum up, this stair tread offers a dependable combination of slip resistance, sound-dampening qualities, and a color that makes an impression without overwhelming the space. For maintenance-conscious facilities, the minimal upkeep and multi-year warranty add long-term value, making it a smart option for a variety of busy environments.
