About The Product
In Stock Now, the Tarkett Johnsonite Snowcap Color Splash Stair Tread delivers a white raised square profile in a 60 inch rubber construction. This tread is well-suited for anyone who needs to keep public spaces clean, slip-resistant, and visually consistent. It's Made in the United States and comes with a 5-year warranty, so you're getting a product that's built for reliable use over the long term. The Snowcap white makes a noticeable impression - not harsh or clinical, but crisp and neutral enough to coordinate with typical commercial interiors.
What stands out immediately is the square profile paired with the raised square surface texture running the full 60 inch length and 12.25 inch width. The rubber has substantial weight to it - enough to stay in place during installation and in service but still flexible enough to follow stair contours. That means it fits tightly, helps minimize movement, and results in an even look across multiple steps. For high-traffic environments, this is important: the tread maintains traction for added safety, and the pattern also dampens some of the noise that can make stairwells so loud, especially in large buildings.
The Snowcap color is surprisingly forgiving when it comes to routine maintenance. It resists obvious yellowing or discoloration more effectively than many lighter alternatives and stands up to scrubbing with standard cleaning products. The surface makes it easy to spot dust and debris, but cleanup is straightforward. The square profile is practical as well: you get a full 12.25 inches of coverage, which protects not just the tread itself but also the stair's edge and nose - that's where wear and damage show up first in most installations.
Installation only requires a professional-grade adhesive and whatever trim pieces your staircase calls for. Since this tread doesn't come with proprietary accessories, there's more flexibility in pairing it with existing hardware or finishes for consistency with your space. Contractors working on large-scale installs will appreciate not having to make as many cuts - the 60 inch length works with most commercial stair dimensions straight out of the box.
