Roppe Asphalt Light Duty Smooth Stair Tread 72 Inch

Nationwide Top Dealer Roppe Asphalt Light Duty Smooth Stair Tread 72 Inch Rubber offers a versatile solution with a smooth finish and multiple edge options. For property managers and contractors who need stair safety products that balance durability with a clean look, this model delivers a straightforward answer. Purpose-built for lighter-duty applications, it excels in settings where heavy boots and weight aren't part of the daily routine, but long-wearing protection against scuffs and slips still matters.

This tread runs a full 72 inches in length and measures 12.38 inches wide, providing generous coverage for most standard steps on a single piece-no cutting or patching required in typical installations. That's a convenience point for anyone managing labor costs, as it translates directly to faster installs and less waste. The profile lets you choose: square for a crisp, professional line, or round for environments where a softer edge is a better fit. Either way, both options finish out cleanly against the riser, enhancing the overall appearance with minimal fuss.

Color matters in public and commercial spaces, and Roppe nails it with this Asphalt option-a deep, neutral gray that's neither too harsh nor too soft. It fits right in with modern office interiors, industrial corridors, or institutional projects where utility comes first but aesthetics shouldn't be an afterthought. The smooth rubber finish is functional, not flashy, making it easier to clean and maintain compared to highly textured alternatives. You don't have to worry about dirt or debris getting trapped in grooves, which keeps the treads presentable over time with standard janitorial routines.

Material choice here is rubber, a classic pick for long service life and a reliable foothold under routine daily use. While this is rated for light duty-so heavy industrial use is outside its ideal range-it performs admirably in schools, healthcare offices, and low-traffic commercial properties. The warranty backs up the manufacturer's confidence: 5 years against defects, giving you peace of mind as you spec out your next project. Roppe builds each unit in the USA, so lead times are predictable and quality control is consistent from order to order.

Installation is straightforward, compatible with widely available adhesives (not included, allowing you to tailor adhesion strength to subfloor conditions and code requirements). Choose this model if your project doesn't need the heft or extra grip of a deep profile-but still demands a solid, clean, and reliable tread.
