About The Product
Buy Now and Save with the Roppe Galactic Ribbed 72 Inch Rubber Stair Tread, available in a ribbed finish and 12.25 inch width for reliable performance. This stair tread is all about practical durability-it stands up to heavy use, limits slipping, and handles busy corridors where people move at all hours. The ribbed finish has a job to do here, giving each step some extra grip so shoes and boots don't slide, helping minimize slips in commercial, institutional, or high-activity spaces.
Measuring 72 inches long by 12.25 inches wide, this stair tread covers most steps in a single piece, saving time during installation. You can select from either a square or round nose profile, so it neatly fits the edge lines you're working with-modern stairs or those with more classic lines. The Galactic color isn't your standard jet black; it brings a cool, dark look that sits well against most flooring and walls without drawing unnecessary attention.
This option is made from solid rubber, chosen for its staying power and flexibility. It can take regular foot traffic without cracking or losing shape, handling scrapes and marks from daily use better than some other materials out there. Being produced in the USA, you get consistency in quality throughout, and it's backed by a 5-year warranty for added peace of mind.
The ribbed finish does double duty by both improving surface traction and making maintenance a little easier. Adhesives, sold separately, are recommended for installation-worth confirming your subfloor type and site conditions to pick the right one. This approach helps keep the tread in place and looking sharp longer, particularly important in busy venues or public staircases.
Color matters too-Galactic gives you enough modern edge to avoid a bland, institutional appearance, while the two nose profile choices are a straightforward answer to fitment across different locations. Stairways get beat up, and picking an option like this one means fewer replacements and consistent safety year after year.
If you're after low-maintenance protection, reliable step grip, and performance that lasts in active spaces, Roppe's Galactic Ribbed Stair Tread fits the job. For installation tips or to see similar stair protection solutions, you'll find more at Blades ASAP stair treads and risers section.
