About The Product
Largest Tarkett Retailer brings the Tarkett Johnsonite Iron Side Color Splash Black Stair Tread Raised Round 48 inch, combining modern style with dependable traction across high-traffic stairs. This stair tread is built for demanding environments, using commercial-grade rubber that maintains stability and comfort even under constant use-an essential factor when specifying materials for hotels, public buildings, or schools. Produced in the United States, it's engineered with a square profile and a raised round surface for reliable slip resistance without sacrificing visual appeal.
The tread runs a full 48 inches in length and 12.25 inches in width, offering extensive surface coverage and fitting standard stair dimensions with precision. The lifted circular pattern on these treads isn't only an aesthetic choice-it provides extra grip and tactile feedback, helping reduce slips and trips where safety protocols are a priority. Rubber as a material helps absorb both sound and impact, minimizing echo from foot traffic and preserving a quieter atmosphere in building corridors or lobbies. The black finish resists showing scuffs or daily marks and aligns with nearly any color palette, offering a sharp, professional appearance that's easy to maintain.
Thanks to the square-edge profile, installation lines up neatly against risers, staying level without the curling or shifting you might see in lower-grade treads. The rubber construction is low-maintenance: spot cleaning, mopping, or even most standard disinfectants won't impact the integrity or appearance. Consistent measurements across every tread simplify specifying and purchasing for both single installations and larger projects where matching dimensions and colors is essential.
This model comes with a 5-year warranty from Tarkett, so you can specify it for renovations or new construction with added confidence in its service life. Facility managers, property owners, and general contractors will appreciate that this stair tread shields stairs from wear and frequent repairs typical of high-use areas. SKU is RNRDSPVG348, and it forms part of the broader Color Splash collection, which means maintaining a unified look across multiple staircases or adjoining surfaces is straightforward.
