About The Product
Order Today and Save: Tarkett Johnsonite Sandstorm Color Splash Stair Tread Hammered 72 inch delivers reliability and consistency for projects demanding both durability and a professional appearance. The Sandstorm brown shade fits seamlessly into commercial or institutional environments, where flooring needs to blend with a broader palette and withstand steady use. As a Made in the United States product, it comes from facilities known for strict material standards and quality assurance-an advantage when your project requirements include domestic sourcing or compliance documentation.
This stair tread, part of the Color Splash series, features a hammered finish and a square profile, providing clean, angular edges rather than rounded contours. That edge style can make a difference on projects where a defined line at the stair face is preferred, whether for functional or visual reasons. At 72 inches in length and 12.25 inches in width, this stair tread is cut to cover both standard and wide staircases. The dense rubber material contributes to quieter steps, with slip-resistance for added safety in high-traffic zones.
Unlike some alternatives that might crack or split under frequent use, the rubber composition on this tread holds up well over time. Installation is made straightforward with adhesives recommended by Tarkett, contributing to a secure fit and longevity. Each tread is supported by a five-year warranty, a practical assurance for property managers or contractors who need ongoing reliability and clear documentation for facility audits or renovations.
Sandstorm color was selected for its ability to disguise dirt and dust between cleanings without looking institutional. It pairs well with a wide range of interior finishes, and because it's part of Tarkett's hammered stair tread collection, matching across large or phased projects is more manageable. The square profile ensures consistency from one flight to the next-an important detail on projects where overall visual uniformity is specified.
If you're sourcing for multi-phase installations, these treads keep color and finish steady across batches.
